Éric du Faÿ
After studying the cello for 6 years, Éric du Faÿ de Choisinet decided to discover the French horn, joining Pierre Levet's class at the Tours Regional Conservatoire. In 1998, he entered Jacques Adnet's class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he was awarded first prize in French horn and chamber music in 2001. He obtained a certificate in Iconography/Organology at the CNSMDP in Paris, for which he was awarded a distinction.
Since 1998 he has been a regular guest with various national orchestras. He has also worked in the world of musical theatre, performing as a musician in The Lion King, Angels and Demons and Violin on the Roof.
He is a member of Ensemble TM+, Ensemble Carpe Diem and Ensemble Multilatérale, and was formerly principal horn of Concerts Colonne.
In the field of chamber music, Éric du Faÿ is artistic director of the Ensemble instrumental à vents de Paris.
In 1999 he took part in the third Académie de Musique du XXe siècle under the direction of Pierre Boulez and David Robertson with the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
Passionate about contemporary music, he has been invited by ensembles such as Ensemble Fa, Ensemble 2e2m, Ensemble Ars Nova, Ensemble Accroche Note, Ensemble Sillage and Ensemble Linéa,Court-Circuit, with over a hundred world premieres by composers such as Gilbert Amy, Carter, Canat de Chizy, Cavanna, Dalbavie, Ferneyhough, Mantovani, Fenelon, Aperghis, Cuniot, Giraud, Markéas, Rebotier, Giraud, Naons, Singier and many others...
His musical curiosity has led him to work in the jazz world, notably with Jean-Pierre Como, the Belmondo brothers, Vincent Artaud, Magic Malik, Pierrick Pedron, Franck Agulhon, David El Malek, Arnaud Rebotini, Thomas de Pourquery, and others.
Founding president, artistic director and conductor of the "Petites Mains Symphoniques" association, which includes over 600 children.The aim of the association is to encourage children aged 6 to 17 to take part in collective orchestral practice.

Founder and artistic director of 4 "Étoiles Symphoniques" festivals: in Normandy, in Verneuil sur Avre, with 50 concerts in 10 days in August, in Corsica in Calvi, 20 concerts in 8 days in October, in Nice, 12 Concerts in 8 Days in October and in the Golfe du Morbihan Bretagne, with more than 10 Concerts in April.
